Dear attendees, speakers and sponsors,

Humanity is going through an unprecedented health situation where all face-to-face meetings have been interrupted, the international traffic has been reduced and the social activities have been restricted. It seems an unappropriated scenery for carrying out a world congress where we have all shown great commitment to make it excellent.

There are many people who passed away and some others who need encouragement since the parallel economic crisis is hurting them. 2021 will not be a year of celebrations but we hope that it will be the year of the recovery.

The latest news on the very near availability of vaccines, the experience of health professionals with the disease, the strengthening of the infrastructures and the health practices of the population make us look forward to 2021, a year to eradicate COVID-19 pandemic and regain trust to meet each other, share, celebrate and learn.

These have always been the distinguishing marks of Spain and ANEMBE, the organizing Society of the buiatric veterinarians from around the world.

For this reason and because we wish to celebrate a congress with these characteristics, the organizers together with the support of the Premium Sponsors, suggested the WAB officials a new postponement to 2022, taking into consideration that this decision could lead to some other difficulties like the abstracts and talks withdrawal.

These are difficult decisions which take time to balance, but we consider that WAB has been wise and has taken the best decision.

Deadlines for new abstracts submission and for updating the abstracts already sent will be announced on the congress website.

All veterinarians and researchers will cooperate in the global health and economic recovery of our countries and 2022 will be the year where we will be able to celebrate the end of the pandemic with science, knowledge, joy, and the most affective and unforgettable WBC of history.

In view of the foregoing, the WBC Madrid 2020 is
postponed to 4-8 September 2022.
